New Way of Carjacking

We don’t know how true this is but it’s always good to be aware. . .

This could happen to any of us…

This story is going around so we just thought we would pass it on just as a heads up on another low life activity of some of this world’s lowest. Doesn’t hurt to always be alert to any thing different around you at anytime.

Just last weekend on Friday night we parked in a public parking area. As we drove away we noticed a sticker on the rear window of the car. When we took it off after we got home, it was a receipt for gas. Luckily my friend told me not to stop as it could be someone waiting for me to get out of the car. Then we received this email yesterday:

WARNING FROM POLICE

BEWARE OF PAPER ON THE BACK WINDOW OF YOUR VEHICLE

NEW WAY TO DO CARJACKINGS (NOT A JOKE)

Heads up everyone! Please, keep this circulating…

You walk across the parking lot, unlock your car and get inside. You start the engine and shift into Reverse. When you look into the rearview mirror to back out of your parking space, you notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle of the rear window. So, you shift into Park, unlock your doors, and jump out of your car to remove that paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing your view. When you reach the back of your car, that is when the carjackers appear out of nowhere, jump into your car and take off. They practically mow you down as they speed off in your car. And guess what, ladies? I bet your purse is still in the car.

So now the carjacker has your car, your home address, your money, and your keys. Your home and your whole identity are now compromised!

BEWARE OF THIS NEW SCHEME THAT IS NOW BEING USED.

If you see a piece of paper stuck to your back window, just drive away. Remove the paper later. And be thankful that you read this e-mail. I hope you will forward this to friends and family, especially to women. A purse contains all kinds of personal information and identification documents, and you certainly do NOT want this to fall into the wrong hands.

Don’t Mess With Old Ladies

A little old lady is walking down the street, dragging two large plastic garbage bags with her, one in each hand.

Unfortunately, there’s a rip in one of the bags and every once in a while a $20 note falls out onto the pavement.

Noticing this, a policeman stops her. ‘ Ma’am, there are $20 bills falling out of your bag ‘

‘Oh, really? Darn!’ says the little old lady.

‘ I’d better go back and see if I can collect them.
Thanks for the warning!’

‘Well, now, not so fast,’ says the cop. ‘ How did you get all that money? You didn’t steal it, did you?’

‘Oh, no,’ says the little old lady. ‘ You see, my back yard is right next to the parking lot of the football stadium.

Each time there’s a game, a lot of fans come and pee through the bushes right into my flower beds!   So, I go and stand behind the bushes with a big hedge clipper and each time someone sticks his little thingy through the bushes, I say, ‘ $20 or off it comes.’

‘Well that seems fair,’ laughs the cop. ‘ Okay, good luck! ‘

‘By the way, what’s in the other bag?’

‘Well,’ says the little old lady, ‘not everybody pays.’

Warning on Sudden Nocturnal Death

IMPORTANT: Never go thirsty when going to bed and be sure you have plenty of water during your 8-hour rest.

Medical investigators in China, Japan and several Asian countries who performed autopsies on persons who died from ‘acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis’ found out that the majority of them had eaten NOODLES as their supper. This was a startling finding.

However, it wasn’t the noodles that caused nightmares but DEHYDRATION. Imbibing even with a few drinks of alcohol or just eating noodles immediately before bedtime compound this on an empty stomach will trigger an electrolyte imbalance and other factors that causes a person to dehydrate or lose water.

It is therefore advisable for a person to take several glasses of water before bedtime if he had a few or several alcoholic drinks. Avoid eating noodles before bedtime, but if you can not avoid it, allow at least two hours for the body to digest the noodles before hitting the sack and drink plenty of water.

The most important thing is, never go thirsty when going to bed and be sure you have plenty of water during your 8-hour rest.

Note: We don’t really know about nightmares causing sudden death while asleep linking it to dehydration at nighttime, as it is not backed with actual medical links to support the claim. We encourage you to investigate the matter yourself should you find this message interesting enough. Then again, we already know the importance of drinking plenty of water regardless of this warning. Can’t hurt to be reminded, can it?
